Visa eLearning
A bespoke online learning platform that fundamentally changed the way Visa educates staff at hundreds of banks in over 50 countries.
Keeping banks and their staff up to date with the benefits of Visa's products, services and platforms is a never-ending task. New services are being created all the time and older ones are being updated or dropped. Visa used to send training personnel to new banks to conduct training sessions with the staff as part of their onboarding process. obviously, this was time-consuming and expensive. We saw this as an opportunity to radically change the way Visa engaged with banks and create a valuable business tool.
The platform.
Visa eLearning is a bespoke learning platform for banks and their staff. It teaches them essential knowledge through written and video courses designed about products and services offered by Visa. It’s responsive so students can learn and test their knowledge on any device and the whole thing is available in English, Russian, French and Portuguese.
As new courses become available, students can read or watch them before taking tests. Emails encourage students to complete course modules or to retake ones they’ve failed. When a student completes a course with at least 80%, a certificate appears on their profile.
Insights.
After launching successfully in South Africa, Visa eLearning was adopted regionally and is now an integral part of Visa's value added services offered to banks. It has also been a successful business tool providing a more cost-effective way to to train bank staff across the region.
Issuers have access to a custom reporting dashboard that provides detailed information and helps them monitor the progress of their staff. The reporting tool gives Visa an overview of the progress across all issuers and has become an invaluable source of insight.
